- Everyone coming to Hendrewennol for Halloween needs an activity ticket or a Grounds Pass.
- The only exception are children under the age of 2 who are not doing an activity (thus do not have an activity ticket) - they do not need a Grounds Pass.
- If Adults wants to accompany children around the “Terror Trail” they will need a “Terror Trail” ticket. (We recommend children under 13 are accompanied).
- Adults accompanying children to the Spooky Viliage need to have a “Grounds Pass” ticket.
- Adults accompanying children Pumpkin carving, broom-stick decorating or Web Making need to have a “Grounds Pass” ticket.
- Adults don’t need a “Grounds pass” if they are taking party in an activity, and have a ticket for that activity.
Can I book / buy tickets in advance?
Absolutely. Please do buy tickets in advance through this website as the event is ticket only.
Can I make a group booking?
Halloween tickets are sold on an activity per person basis so we do not do group bookings.
What Footwear should I bring?
We suggest you wear footwear suitable for being outdoors on grass and in fields in the weather of the day you are coming to us. It is a farm so if you are going to be walking out in the fields then wellies or something similar is a recommendation as mud in not unheard of!
We would strongly advise against any type of designer footwear or indoor shoe.
Will the event run if it rains?
We have a large covered area on the farm so will stay open through all but the most extreme of weathers. Should this occur we will endeavour to contact those ticket-holders affected, in advance of the weather if possible, to advise what we are planning to do.
Is the Café & Shop open?
The Fruit Barn Café & Shop will be open throughout the day for those who have tickets for the Halloween event.
Is there food available to buy?
Every day we''ll have a great selection of food to choose from, from pizzas made to order from Dusty Knuckle, to Pasta and Vegetarian dishes. We will also have our popular children's lunch box offering in the Fruit Barn so there's a great range of hot and cold food to choose from for mealtimes or just to snack.
Is Hendrewennol wheelchair friendly?
Hendrewennol is partially accessible to wheelchair users; around the Fruit Barn and the covered areas. It is a farm though so the activities in the fields are accessible to vigorous wheelchair users only, and subject to the effects of the weather, so we would recommend accompanyment.
Is Hendrewennol Pram/Pushchair friendly?
Hendrewennol is accessible to pushchairs and prams around the Fruit Barn and the covered areas. It is a farm though so the activities in the fields may well require vigorous driving during the summer, moreso depending on the effects of the weather. Once the weather turns however, taking pushchairs and prams into the fields becomes effectively impractical. It is not recommended for the Halloween outdoor activities.
Can I bring my dog?
We love dogs too but they can be messy and a health hazard (you know what we mean!). Some people (and small children) are not happy with dogs around and some dogs can get in a rather noisy scrap with other dogs, despite their owner's best intentions. So for all these reasons and more, we are sorry but no dogs are allowed at all other than trained guide dogs.
Where is Hendrewennol? How do I find you?
We’re at Hendrewennol Fruit Garden, off the A48, between Cowbridge and Bonvilston in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. Follow our yellow road signs through the lanes from the A48 or off junction 34 of the M4. Find our map on the website here. For Sat Nav use the post code CF5 6TS – we are 300 metres up the road from this point so keep an eye out for the road signs as you get close and look for the large wood entrance signs at the entrance.
Can I telephone Hendrewennol?
Yes. However, between now and the start of our Hallowe'en week we are going to be very busy on the farm getting ready so bear with us if you cannot get through immediately. The number to call is 07376 230195 between 10am and 6pm.
